This Privacy Policy explains how PostFuel, available at postfuel.io, collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our social media SaaS platform. PostFuel helps businesses create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use PostFuel, we may collect:

  • Account information - name, email address, login credentials, and account preferences
  • Business and profile information - business name, industry, brand details, audience preferences, and content settings
  • Connected platform data - social account identifiers, page or profile metadata, and encrypted access or refresh tokens needed to connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Content and usage data - prompts, captions, scheduled posts, uploaded assets, publishing activity, and feature usage
  • Transaction and billing data - subscription status, invoices, billing country, and limited payment-related details provided by Stripe
  • Support communications - messages and information you send to us when requesting help or contacting us
  • Technical data - IP address, browser type, device information, and log data used for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the PostFuel service
  • To authenticate users and connect social media accounts
  • To generate, schedule, and publish social media content on your behalf
  • To process subscriptions, payments, renewals, and account administration
  • To send transactional or service-related emails, including receipts and support updates
  • To monitor platform performance, investigate incidents, and prevent fraud or misuse

4. Legal Bases and CCPA Notice

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract when we provide the PostFuel service you requested
  • Your consent where required, including for certain connected account permissions
  • Our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service
  • Compliance with legal obligations

For California residents, PostFuel does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used under the CCPA and CPRA.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers and platform partners to operate PostFuel:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - to connect your pages or profiles and publish content you authorize
  • LinkedIn and TikTok - to connect your accounts and support authorized publishing or related account actions
  • Stripe - to process payments, billing, subscriptions, and related records
  • Resend - to send transactional and service-related emails

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We share only the information reasonably necessary for them to perform their services.

6. Data Sharing

We may share personal information with service providers, infrastructure vendors, and social platform partners only as needed to operate PostFuel, process payments, send emails, secure the service, comply with the law, or protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service, satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and security requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Connected account tokens are stored in encrypted form where applicable and access is limited to authorized systems and personnel.

No internet service is completely secure, but we use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information in transit and at rest.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents may also have the right to know the categories of information we collect, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom data is disclosed.

9. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your PostFuel account and associated personal information by emailing hello@postfuel.io from the email address associated with your account. We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

If you connected Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok, you may also revoke PostFuel's access directly from the relevant platform settings at any time.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards for cross-border personal data transfers.
